After long and grueling months of political ads, the election has finally come to an end. The results revealed that Barack Obama was the choice among a majority of the United States’ citizens.
Obama needed 270 electoral votes to win. According to the Princeton Election Consortium, Obama has won with 303 electoral votes while Romney received 235 electoral votes. All of the New England states voted for Obama, even Massachusetts, Romney’s home state.
On the other-hand, states in the south voted for Romney. Currently, Florida’s votes are not complete for either candidate, although Obama maintains a slight lead.
States on the west coast also favored Obama, while states in the Great Plains region voted for Romney.
I think it is safe to say, no matter who won, we can all be thankful that the political ads are done and we can now move on to the holiday ads.
